About me

Hi, I’m Steph — the girly behind Finding Her Again Studio.

Finding Her Again Studio was born from rediscovering a part of myself that I’d quietly lost somewhere along the way my creative side.

I started painting again simply because I wanted somewhere to play. Somewhere I didn’t have to be perfect, productive or have everything figured out. Somewhere I could experiment with colour, make a mess, try something new and just see
what happened.

And somewhere along the way, that little bit of creativity became something much bigger.

So Finding Her Again Studio was born, inspired from the observations that as we get older, life can become so full of responsibilities, routines and expectations that we sometimes lose touch with the playful, curious parts of
ourselves. The parts that existed before we worried so much about whether we were doing things “right.”

My artwork is colourful, abstract and often a little bit whimsical. I love experimenting with textures, layers, shapes, dots and colour, and I have a particular soft spot for warm earthy tones, pinks and anything that makes a space feel a little more joyful.

Many of my pieces begin with something I’ve experienced, felt or thought about, and over time I’ve started creating little stories around some of them. But I don’t believe a painting has to mean the same thing to everyone.

What I see in a piece might be completely different from what you see and I actually love that.

Sometimes there’s a deeper story behind the artwork. Sometimes I’m simply having fun with paint.

I created Finding Her Again Studio as a space for both.

A place to make art without needing it to be perfect. A place to reconnect with creativity. And hopefully, a place where you might find something that brings a little more colour, warmth or meaning into your own space.

So have a look around, find a piece that makes you stop for a moment, and make it yours if something speaks to you.

Thanks for being here.
