Through the Waves - Original Painting
Through the Waves.
This piece is a reflection on perspective, growth and the way we move through difficult moments in life.
When we’re in the middle of something painful or overwhelming, it can feel like that moment is everything. We can become so focused on one feeling, one challenge or one part of the story that we can’t see beyond it.
This piece was created as a reminder to step back. To look at the whole picture. The difficult moments are still there, but they become part of something bigger, part of the movement, the growth and the story of who we’re becoming.
I wanted the painting to feel calming and beautiful to look at, while carrying something a little deeper underneath. The earthy colours, flowing lines, dots and layered shapes move in and out of two central forms, without needing to follow a perfect pattern much like life itself.
We don’t always get to choose the hard parts, but sometimes those are the moments that teach us the most. And sometimes, when we finally step back, we realise we aren’t where we thought we were anymore. We’ve already moved forward.
