Sunshine Within You 

This is is a playful exploration of colour, texture and the landscapes we create in our imagination.

There’s something almost childlike about this piece the sun, clouds, rain and suggestion of a landscape but I wanted to approach those simple ideas through layers of colour, thick brushstrokes, texture and movement rather than anything realistic.

This piece is a gentle reminder that life can hold sunshine and rain at the same time. We don’t always get to choose what happens around us, but perhaps there is something in the way we choose to move through it, what we notice, and how we allow ourselves to see the light.

For me, it’s a little reminder that even when there are clouds, there can still be light.
